Can I add internal comments on invoices?

Adding notes that are only visible to your Banqup account's users can come in handy to share information between users about specific invoices.

Those notes are called comments in Banqup and are not to be confused with comments visible on outbound invoices or comments shared with the accountant.

  • If the accounting app is not active, you don't have to read the rest of the article as all your comments will be internal. If the accounting app is active, read on.

  • Comments added after accepting an inbound invoice are always internal.

  • Comments on outbound invoices are always internal.

Notes:

First of all, let's check your settings:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Click on Inbound.

  3. Under Share with accountant, click on Comments.

Are the settings toggled off?

If your settings are off as shown in the image above, adding comments to your invoices will always be internal. You can add comments as follows:

  1. Go to an invoice's details page.

  2. Click on the Comments tab.

  3. Type your comment then click on Add.
